Added the trivia section. I believed it took inspiration from the Vector in real life. Discuss before undo.

Travia[]

  • The compact layout, short vertical grip, and the non-functional retractable stock of the R-99 strongly resembles the KRISS Vector in real life. This is further backed by the fact that the weapon uses a small caliber, has an extremely high firing rate, combined with a small magazine capacity.

The most used weapon from the game, missing information?[]

I noticed that the R-99, a weapon used all the time by high skill players and for regular players in general, is lacking a lot of images for the base skins Were they erased? I'd take the photos myself, but my PS4 won't work, and well, obligatory quarantine, I think that says enough.

Also, what's up with the damage info for the Fortified Legends? Why are there so many brackets?

A change was made on the damage profile template that necessitated inputting information that was missing before for it to be fixed.
As for the skins, the R-99's images need to be manually edited one by one unlike the rest of the guns because it shows UI elements so it's time-consuming to do. This was also the case with the Prowler which I eventually got around to finishing.
Once the quarantine is done, I maybe able to finish it myself or if someone can provide me 1920x1080 screenshots of all the skins (I don't have my own pc for apex) Metafysika (talk) 04:13, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
Is it maybe time to consider using renders instead of in-game screenshots? Getting a hold of weapon models and porting them into Blender has never been easier, and it would bypass the problem of needing someone to actually own the item. Of course it might take some time to get the right lighting and rendering algorithm but once we're over that hump it could be pretty beneficial. Jockshocker (talk) 19:11, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
That would be actually a better solution since it would remove one of the big reason why some skins have no images. The thing about using renders though would be that there's a higher barrier to entry for others to contribute since doing renders can be quite technical for the average editor. In-game screenshots has its own set of problems but once you do own it or have a screenshot of it, its as easy as cropping the image in the right place.
If we do decide to go that route, a guide on how to make the render with the right tools should be made first after deciding what we would be using.
