There are four in-game currency types in Apex Legends that can be used to purchase cosmetics or unlock legends: Crafting Metals Crafting Metals, Heirloom Shards.svg Heirloom Shards, Legend Tokens Legend Tokens, Apex Coins Apex Coins and Event currency.

Crafting Metals[edit | edit source]

Crafting Metals may be used to directly purchase cosmetic items, such as legend or weapon skins, banners, or stat trackers. They can be acquired from opening Apex Packs, where you can get 15, 30, 200, or 600 Crafting Metals depending on the rarity.

  • Common grade item: Crafting Metals 30
  • Rare grade item: Crafting Metals 60
  • Epic grade item: Crafting Metals 400
  • Legendary grade item: Crafting Metals 1,200

Heirloom Shards[edit | edit source]

Heirloom Shards are used to craft items from the Heirloom Store. These shards can only be acquired through Apex Packs.

  • Heirloom: Heirloom Shards 150

Legend Tokens[edit | edit source]

Legend Tokens can be acquired by leveling up and are used to unlock legends, purchase variants of legendary skins for weapons on the Store and reroll your daily challenges. You get Legend Tokens 600 for every level, even after the max level.

Cost for Daily Challenge re-rolls are:

  • 1st re-roll: Legend Tokens 200
  • 2nd re-roll: Legend Tokens 500
  • Subsequent re-rolls: Legend Tokens 1,000

The cost resets every day.

Apex Coins[edit | edit source]

Apex Coins are the premium currency that may be used to purchase Apex Packs, items in the event store, featured skins, or legends on the Store page. These can be only purchased with real-world currency. Apex Coins 1,000 are provided with EA Access or Origin Access.

Crowns[edit | edit source]

The currency used on the Iron Crown Icon.svg Iron Crown event store, Crowns Crowns can only be obtained by doing the event challenges or opening the event-specific Apex Packs.
