The Charge Rifle is a sniper rifle introduced in Season 3 that utilizes
Sniper Ammo.
It is currently the only hitscan weapon in the game, meaning that every shot will go instantly where the weapon is pointed at.

- Pros
- Beam deals 3 damage in ticks quickly, maximum 45 dmg plus the 45 of the final shot.
- Higher profile damage.
- Longest range out of any weapon.
- Has 100% accuracy in the air (Jump Pads, Ziplines, and Balloons) .
- Has 0% leg shot damage reduction.
- Works at any range.
- Hitscan weapon, doesn't require compensation for bullet drop, travel time or target movement at long distances.
- Cons
- Uses 2 ammo per shot, totaling 4 shots per magazine.
- Long reload time, especially with an empty mag.
- Cannot equip Extended Sniper Mags.
- Takes a while to charge up.
- Beam can give away position.
- Has damage falloff at 150-391+ meters
- Beam of the weapon will shake while using it in hip-fire.
Lore[edit | edit source]
The Charge Rifle used in the Apex Games are manufactured by Vinson Dynamics. Notable changes from its Frontier War-era model include a smaller profile, more compact build, and a completely reworked firing system, shooting out a beam that rapidly increases in damage instead of charging for a single massive blast.
